Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where are you located?

I work out of The Commons office space which is located at 5000 Johnson Drive Suite D, Mission, Kansas 66205. Parking can be found around the building on the North, East, South, and West sides of the building. The office is located on the second floor, up a flight of stairs. In order to accommodate for additional accessibility needs, virtual sessions or a second location can be happily provided upon request. If we aren’t a good fit please check out the other clinicians at The Commons!

  • How do I schedule an appointment?

Click the “Get Started” button on the top right to complete a contact form. I offer a free phone consultation for us to chat to ensure we are a good fit and discuss scheduling. Once we have met and you confirm you want to move forward, I will send intake paperwork for you to complete and return to me via a secure portal before our first session.

If you decide you are ready to book without the consultation, that is great! We will skip that part- just indicate that in the contact form and we will go straight to discussing scheduling and paperwork.

  • What is your session fee and how do I pay?

My session fee is $115. A credit or debit card will be stored in my secure booking system and will be charged the morning (between 8-10AM) of your appointment. HSA/FSA cards can be used!

  • Do you accept Insurance?

No, Build and Bloom is considered an out of network provider. I can provide you with a Super-bill that you’re able to submit to your health insurance for reimbursement. Coverage approval is based on individual insurance plans and medical necessity.

Questions to consider asking your insurance to best understand what they may cover:

What percentage do you reimburse for outpatient, out of network therapy?

What is my out of network deductible?

What are my in-network vs. out-of-network benefits?

How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

What diagnoses are covered? (some insurance only covers specific diagnosis)

Is a referral required from my primary care physician?

  • Can I do my session online/virtual?

Absolutely! I offer in person sessions in the Kansas City Metro area but also welcome virtual sessions! Whether you are solely virtual or it is just a one off thing, prior to our session time, I will send you a link for a secure video/audio meeting.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

If something comes up and you are unable to attend in person, we can always switch our appointment to virtual. I require 24 hours notice for cancellation and rescheduling. If you are unable to cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment date and time, you will be charged the session fee. I will always do my best to reschedule you for the same week.
